    • Introducing Hakan. Who is Hakan?

    I’m Hakan KOLU, and I’ve been working in recruitment for 3 and a half years, including 2 at Meanquest. I hold a master’s degree in International Management and recently obtained my HR management certificate.

    • What strategies have you found most effective when using LinkedIn to recruit talent in the IT sector?

    The most effective strategies are personalizing contact messages to show that we read the candidate’s profile. Being close to the candidate is very important, as it gives them confidence and they can provide us with the important information we need.

    • How do you think an active presence on social networks such as LinkedIn can influence the attraction of talent in the IT sector?

    Choosing to have a presence on LinkedIn increases Inbound Recruiting, which can save us time in our processes. Candidates are also kept abreast of the latest opportunities. Competition is fierce in the IT sector in Switzerland, and my presence on LinkedIn helps raise awareness of the company and opportunities to attract top talent.

    • What common mistakes do you often see in the LinkedIn profiles of candidates looking to work in IT?

    There are still a lot of candidates who don’t know the power of LinkedIn. Often, profiles are not well-filled, lacking information on candidates’ tasks, and they don’t appear in searches due to a lack of keywords. Spelling mistakes should also be avoided, as they can be a deal-breaker for certain positions.

    • What advice would you give to someone who wants to work in technology and stand out on platforms like LinkedIn to be more visible to recruiters?

    The best advice I can give to a candidate looking to gain visibility on LinkedIn is to complete their profile thoroughly and use the right keywords. It’s important to have a professional photo since a LinkedIn profile is like a general CV.

    • What is your opinion on the importance of personal branding and networking in the search for job opportunities in the IT sector, and how can LinkedIn facilitate this process?

    The image you project on professional sites like LinkedIn is a professional image you send to potential future employers. Networking should not be neglected; it’s a process that must be learned, as you need to add the right people. Good networking can open many doors in the job market without even having to apply to job postings.

    • With the increasing competition for talent in the technology field, how can recruiters differentiate themselves and attract the best candidates through digital platforms such as LinkedIn?

    Candidates understand the market well and their expectations have changed. We need to approach them differently and provide a great candidate experience. Communicating about current topics and opportunities helps maintain an active community and attract more candidates.
